Hybrid house in China is a project that explores the architectural style of self-built houses in the urban areas of China's natural disaster zone. The study is based on the globalisation of the hybridity of the architectural styles mentioned above. The most significant issue in the study is the unconsciousness of cultural symbols and the ambiguity of identity among the local residents when they build their own houses. The project conveys the stories behind the mixed architecture of the East and the West through the media of print and photography. Through visual production, the project critically considers the transformative impact of globalisation on the local landscape.
